Amboy, Washington is a quiet rural setting about 12 miles north of Battle Ground, Washington. This beautiful section of Clark County is not for those seeking the conveniences of other densely populated areas of Clark County. Amboy offers a peaceful solitude that puts one a bit closer to nature and a slower pace of life.

The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian church in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, tracing its roots to an anniversary date of 1908. It was founded to spread the message of scriptural holiness (Christlike living) across the lands. Today the Church of the Nazarene is located in 155 world areas.

The Church of the Nazarene is a Great Commission church. We believe that God offers to everyone forgiveness, peace, joy, purpose, love, meaning in life, and the promise of heaven when life is over by entering and experiencing a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We are called to take this message to people everywhere.

Pastor Jim Moreton

Pastor Jim and his wife Eileen have 4 children (three daughters, one son) and 3 grandchildren. They are Canadians who adopted the USA in 2000 with a transfer from the Canada Pacific District.

 

Both pastor Jim and Eileen ride motorcycles and the church sponsors a "Teddy Bear Ride" the first Sunday in August of each year to benefit the Pregnancy care centers in Vancouver and Battle Ground.

Once again God blessed us with the perfect weather for the ride and we were all blessed again by the band "Truth Be Told" as they rocked the neighborhood with their music. Thanks to all who made this year such a success and we will see you again August 5, 2012.
